You can view an ISRC code as the digital thumbprint of a unique master sound recording, an audio track, which helps us optimally trace, claim, and monetize your musical works in the digital space.

ISRC, the International Standard Recording Code, is the internationally recognized identification tool for sound and music video recordings.

ISRC is used throughout the music industry with applications across supply chains, reporting, music discovery, archiving, and rights management. It is also a key data element used to link recordings to musical compositions and their identifier, International Standard Musical Work Code (ISWC).

All recorded tracks and videos released by us will be given an ISRC code. We only require you to supply us with your original ISRC code if you are re-distributing a recording through us.

We will automatically create and assign an ISRC code to each track released through us, whether Watershed Pro our our partnership with Capitol CMG/RE:Think.
